New Facility

Living Glory Church

Begins New Facility

Pastors Carl and Belinda Benton began Living Glory Church as a Christ centered, non-denominational, family, word church in 1989. After graduating from Rhema Bible Training Center, they returned to Lafayette, La. their home town, to fulfill the call of God upon their lives. LGC began in a small dance studio on Moss street. In 1991 LGC moved to its present location at 210 W. Pine St. (behind the Northgate Mall).

Recognizing the limitations of the facility on Pine street and with an eye toward the future LGC purchased 14 acres of undeveloped land at 200 E. Butcher Switch Rd. Located only 200 yards from I-49 and accessible from both the service road and Moss Street, the location is ideal for the new 400 seat auditorium. After years of planning, engineering, and prayer the decision to construct a two dome "Sprung Structures" facility was made.

Although the project has been slower then anticipated, every step has been carefully planned and paid for from member's contributions. The construction of the drive-thru and connecting corridor-foyer gives the local residence a glypse of the excellence and functionality of the new facility.

The New Facility will have a 400 seat auditorium, youth auditorum, children's ministry area, administration offices and room for a daycare in the future. The 14 acres will have a family park and playground area, an outdoor basketball court with roof and accomodate future growth.
